Academic Calendar

The academic year of the MSc Program is determined according to the academic year of the University of West Attica, as defined by the Senate. The academic year begins on September 1st and ends on August 31st of the following calendar year. The educational work of each academic year is structured into two study semesters, the winter and the spring semester. Each study semester consists of 13 teaching weeks. At the end of each semester, there is a three-week examination period.

 

The academic calendar specifies the start and end dates of:

  1. the courses for the winter and spring semesters,
  2. the examination periods for the winter and spring semesters,
  3. the September re-examination period, 
  4. the Christmas and Easter breaks.

Additionally, the official holidays for each semester are described. The academic calendar is announced before the start of each academic year, following a relevant decision by the Senate of the University of West Attica.
